2. Your PDF documents

We never receive your documents. Opening, editing and generating the finished PDF happen entirely in your browser. The file is not sent to our servers or to anyone else. Before payment, the document is kept temporarily in your browser's local storage so it can be downloaded after checkout, and is deleted there afterwards.

3. Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the site, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time and requested address (server log files), based on our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Subscription and payment

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. Stripe collects your email address and payment details; we never see your card data. We receive a customer ID, your email address and your subscription status. When checkout starts we also pass Stripe the page you subscribed from and the website that referred you (address only, without parameters) so we can see which pages lead to purchases. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Emails

We send transactional emails (welcome, sign-in links, confirmations and, only if you request it, a reminder) via Resend (Resend Inc., USA), which processes your email address (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

6. Cancellation and withdrawal

If you use the cancellation or withdrawal form, we process the name, email address and details you enter to identify your contract, carry out your request and confirm receipt (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

7. Cookies and local storage

• Sign-in cookie (tapsignpdf_auth): keeps subscribers signed in; strictly necessary.
• Local storage: your most recent signatures and your cookie choice are stored only on your device.
• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): loaded only if you accept in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

8. Retention

We keep payment and invoice records for as long as commercial and tax law requires (up to ten years). We never store documents.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and may withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the data protection authority of North Rhine-Westphalia. Contact: byjoefarwick@gmail.com.
